Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026.

1. Data controller

The controller of your data is the owner of the Petlier store (petlier.es). Their identifying details are set out in the Legal notice. For any question about your data you can email us at hola.petlier@gmail.com.

2. What data we process, why and on what legal basis

  • Order and delivery (name, email, phone, shipping address and products purchased): to manage your purchase, ship it and assist you. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Invoicing: to issue invoices and meet tax and accounting obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Customer service (what you tell us by email or social media): to reply to you. Legal basis: your request and, where applicable, the contract.
  • News list (email): only if you sign up, to send you news and tips. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in each email.
  • Browsing and cookies: technical cookies, so the store works; analytics or advertising cookies, only if you accept them in the cookie notice.

Payment is handled directly by Shopify and, if you choose it, PayPal: we never see or store your card details.

3. How long we keep it

Order data, for as long as needed to manage the order and during the legal warranty (3 years) and tax (up to 6 years) periods. News list data, until you unsubscribe.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We only share it with those we need in order to serve you:

  • Shopify (store platform and payments).
  • PayPal, if you pay with PayPal.
  • Suppliers and warehouses that prepare and ship your order, and the tool we use to pass the order to them (DSers). They receive your name, shipping address and phone number.
  • Carriers that deliver your parcel.
  • Our accountant, for tax obligations.

International transfers: some of our suppliers and warehouses are outside the European Economic Area (mainly in China), and some services (such as Shopify or PayPal) may process data in the United States. For suppliers, the transfer is necessary to perform your order (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR); otherwise it is made with the safeguards those services provide (European Commission standard contractual clauses or equivalent frameworks).

5. Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability of your data by emailing hola.petlier@gmail.com with the subject "Data protection". If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

6. Minors

The store is not aimed at children under 14.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
